Concord Engineering Group is currently recruiting for a Commissioning Field Engineer to work as part of our Commissioning Group in the New York/North Jersey area (Metro). This position will perform commission field activities, including site inspections, field reporting, and function testing under the direction of senior commissioning field engineers.
ESSENTIAL Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform all field activities, including installation checks, functional checks and functional performance testing
- As deemed necessary be onsite to witness equipment startups, pipe flushing, pressure testing, duct leakage tests, TAB and training
- Check and ensure the contractors are filling out and providing required documentation, i.e. test forms, startup reports, etc.
- Complete department developed field paperwork including equipment checklists and test forms
- Track contractor provided reports and incorporate into final report
- Successfully document site visits with photos and notes that are kept on the network for ease of access
- Maintain close communication with construction team especially when onsite to develop a close working relationship
- Track all emails and communication to ensure answers are provided in a timely manner
- Develop and submit field reports that properly list observations for project tracking and deficiencies noted
- Track meeting minutes to maintain a focused effort on future visits
- Manage hours and efficient site visits with guidance from the Project Manager and Project Lead
- Assist with office work such as submittal reviews and form development when directed by the Project Manager
REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

This position provides comprehensive administrative, analytical, and logistical support to program, procurement, and client service teams, contributing to the effective delivery of client services and program objectives. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to energy program management, market analysis, and customer engagement efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program and Administrative Support
- Provide efficient operation of various energy programs, offering comprehensive administrative and logistical support.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, and communications to ensure timely execution of program activities.
- Prepare and maintain organized documentation, reports, and records for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor program progress, track performance metrics, and assist in preparing management summaries and client presentations.

Energy Data and Procurement Support
- Perform data collection and analysis related to customer electric and natural gas loads, as well as current costs under existing procurement arrangements.

- Assist in all areas of the energy procurement process, including:
- RFP development and bid specification creation
- Evaluation and comparison of supplier responses
- Analysis supporting risk management strategies
- Preparation of customer presentation materials
- Serve as an in-house resource for intelligence on supplier products, energy markets, and utility tariff structures.
- Support client relations for government and institutional contracts, maintaining clear communication and responsiveness.
- Manage post-close processes, including troubleshooting customer billing inquiries, customer usage tracking, cost reporting, and account reconciliation.
Database Management
- Maintain and update the client database, including contact information for governing bodies and key stakeholders.
- Update utility rate tables and supplier pricing in the CRM system as needed.
- Upload and maintain current tariff sheets, utility rates, and program documents in shared drives and databases.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, energy management, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in program support, energy markets, procurement coordination, government contracting or administrative operations.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience managing or interpreting energy, cost, or financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); CRM or database experience preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities

Concord Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Voorhees office to work in our HealthCare, Science & Technology & Commercial MEP group.
This group provides full-service MEP/FP engineering, energy consulting, design-build, construction management and commissioning services for industrial facilities and high-performance buildings for the commercial, healthcare, laboratory and institutional markets. We are a team comprised of engineers educated and practiced in energy conservation and project implementation with a proven track record for excellence in all aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, & fire protection engineering.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take an important role in taking the lead, in coordination with the Project Engineer in designing mechanical/HVAC systems for various clients in the various markets within their design team. In some cases, there will be a requirement to sign and seal the drawings on projects where they are the Engineer of Record on the project. Coordinate and work with the design team within your discipline and work with the client/PM/Project Engineer to execute project objectives in a timely and efficient manner.

The responsibilities of this position include:

- Perform engineering calculations, specifications, design, layout, and checking of mechanical and HVAC drawings, and ensure the technical correctness of the drawings by using the applicable job, federal, state, and local standards and codes.
- Provide direction to less experienced Engineers in Training and draftspersons when working together with them on projects.
- Perform site surveys, attend pre-bid meetings, and provide field construction support and perform construction administration tasks, as required.
- Monitor and assist in the training and development of subordinate engineers as directed by the Chief Engineer / Director using the agreed-upon CEG methods and standards.
- Develop and/or assist in proposal development, client management and overall project execution.
Desired skills and experience:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 12 years of progressive engineering and managerial experience with a strong record of accomplishment in managing and executing large, multi-faceted engineering projects.
- Experience in Energy Efficiency, Sustainability, and Design Build Construction is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.
- An MBA or Other certification from an accredited group is preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of local, state, and national code requirements.
- Must have deep knowledge of Mechanical / HVAC / Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.

This position will be responsible for the business development and management of projects/staff, as well as personnel management, project execution, and project financial performance.
ESSENTIAL Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of the NYC/Metro area Commissioning Office, including business development, office personnel, proposal generation, project execution, and job performance profitability.
- Be available as a working Director who can execute projects as needed.
- Be responsible for direction and development of the NYC/Metro Commissioning Business in conjunction with the Corporate Commissioning Department growth.
- Manage the implementation of standards and processes that are to be utilized to streamline and improve the delivered product to the client and promote ease of execution of the commissioning process so that efforts can be focused to provide the most value to the client.
- Manage project profitability and department billability including the balancing of personnel workload with Corporate Commissioning team.
- Business development in accordance with corporate-defined goals.
