This is a senior individual-contributor role for an accomplished producer who can independently originate, develop, and close sophisticated commercial energy opportunities. The successful candidate will combine strong relationship-building and closing skills with a practical understanding of electricity and natural gas markets, utility structures, contracting strategies, and client risk-management needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior BIM Design Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing BIM processes, standards, and technology implementation across projects. The responsibilities of this position include:
Client Relationships
- Communicate BIM strategy and technology solutions to clients and project teams.
- Attend coordination meetings to resolve design and modeling conflicts.
BIM Design & Construction Technology
- Develop and maintain Dynamo scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Implement and manage BIM standards and workflows across projects.

- Ensure models meet quality standards and support project objectives.
Technical & Quality Control
- Serve as a technical expert in Revit and BIM automation tools.

Desired skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM management, with a focus on scripting and automation.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take an important role in taking the lead, in coordination with the Project Engineer in designing mechanical/HVAC systems for various clients in the various markets within their design team. In some cases, there will be a requirement to sign and seal the drawings on projects where they are the Engineer of Record on the project. Coordinate and work with the design team within your discipline and work with the client/PM/Project Engineer to execute project objectives in a timely and efficient manner.

The responsibilities of this position include:
- Manage and direct the production of specific project staff with the focus on the team’s efficiency and goals for working to the project’s scope, required level of detail and project budget on a project-by-project basis.
- Design Mechanical / HVAC systems per client requirements and as directed by the Chief Engineer / Director. Primary trade responsibility will be as per the direction of the Chief Engineer / Director.

- Perform engineering calculations, specifications, design, layout, and checking of mechanical and HVAC drawings and ensure the technical correctness of the drawings by using the applicable job, federal, state and local standards and codes.
- Provide direction to less experienced Engineers in Training and draftspersons when working together with them on projects.
- Perform site surveys, attend pre-bid meetings and provide field construction support and perform construction administration tasks, as required.
- Monitor and assist in the training and development of subordinate engineers as directed by Chief Engineer / Director using the agreed upon CEG methods and standards.
- Develop and/or assist in proposal development, client management and overall project execution.
Desired skills and experience:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 12 years of progressive engineering and managerial experience with a strong record of accomplishment in managing and executing large multi-faceted engineering projects.
- Experience in Energy Efficiency, Sustainability and Design Build Construction is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.
- MBA or Other Certificated by Accredited Groups is preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of local, state and national code requirements.
- Must have deep-knowledge of Mechanical / HVAC / Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.
- Must have experience/working knowledge of load analysis and energy modeling programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR and/or Carrier HAP.
- Strong working knowledge and utilization of Autocad, Revit experience is a plus.
- Knowledgeable of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus.
- Must be a good time manager, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions.
- Effective at working with other staff members in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and have strong technical writing skills and technical documentation skills with the ability to prepare presentations and reports.

This position will be responsible for the business development and management of projects/staff, as well as personnel management, project execution, and project financial performance.
ESSENTIAL Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of the NYC/Metro area Commissioning Office, including business development, office personnel, proposal generation, project execution, and job performance profitability.
- Be available as a working Director who can execute projects as needed.
- Be responsible for direction and development of the NYC/Metro Commissioning Business in conjunction with the Corporate Commissioning Department growth.
- Manage the implementation of standards and processes that are to be utilized to streamline and improve the delivered product to the client and promote ease of execution of the commissioning process so that efforts can be focused to provide the most value to the client.
- Manage project profitability and department billability including the balancing of personnel workload with Corporate Commissioning team.
- Business development in accordance with corporate-defined goals.
